Chef Mattias developed a taste for great cooking at an early age while growing up in Sweden, first by tasting and cooking with his mother in their family kitchen and later as an apprentice at local restaurants as a teenager. He has been a professional chef in and around Santa Barbara since 1991 and now comes to your rental where he will cook with seasonal and organic ingredients from our local markets. Mattias makes everything himself; from decor to menus, photography and of course his website where you can read up on clients who praise his clean rustic flavors that comes with a professional yet relaxed approach. Robin is a California chef who works her culinary magic combining unique flavors with seasonal local products. As a professional chef, for over 30 years, Chef Robin provides an intimate, home-cooked experience that is anything but traditional, using classic techniques she honed at the Culinary Institute of America in New York and is a caterer, event planner, food writer, instructor and food consultant. Through her travels and working abroad for many years, she has developed a flavorful Mediterranean cooking style and was written about it in her three cookbooks, Simply Delicious Wine Country Recipes-A Taste of the Santa Ynez Valley, A Taste of Ojai-Small Plates and A Taste of Santa Barbara-Crafting a Meal infusing the distinctive and unforgettable flavors of the Mediterranean. When seeking a chef to craft an inspired menu utilizing local produce for a winemaker dinner, many winery owners enlist Jake O. Francis, both a heritage breed pig farmer and incredibly skilled chef. His depth of understanding the farming process from start to finish is apparent in his rustic yet refined approach, and showcasing locally grown and raised produce and meat.
Chef Jensen Lorenzen
As a chef Jensen has become close friends with farmers, ranchers, foragers, cheese makers, vintners and brewers. Working as a part of the local food community has given him a close connection with locally harvested and seasonal foods. He believes that cuisine should be a reflection of a region, as such, sustainably harvested ingredients and thoughtfully sourced products are the heartbeat of all of his menus.
Chef Adair has worked for 20+ years in the culinary arts as a Chef: With a hospitality degree from the Le Cordon Blue, restaurant and executive Chef/Owner, 10 years in high end restaurants in Napa – Sonoma and owner of a catering company. Chef Adair & Co. has performed 100’s of catering and private chef dining experiences and events. Michelle Aronson is an organic farmer, chef and educator based in Santa Barbara, CA. She has been farming and cooking for over 10 years, and she attended culinary school at the renowned Ballymaloe Cooking School. Michelle is the owner of the Farmbelly Cooking School, where she teaches farm to table cooking classes on topics ranging from Fresh Cheesemaking, to Herbs 101, Cook the Farmers’ Market, Pickling & Fermenting, Fundamentals of Plant-Based Cooking, Knife Skills and many more.
